Enjoyed these so much the full glasses didn't get a look in.
The gin was more obviously ginny than many these days. a 47%er so clearly a dutyfree purchase.
The French Sav. Blanc (c/o Sainsbury's) was great with SWMBOd's plain cooked Plaice with parsley butter.
Just watched a couple of episodes of Bodies.
Very good limited Netflix series.

View attachment 91799tastebuds getting better. If it's good enough for cardinal Mendoza, I ain't going to argue. This is a big boy....more dried fruits than an Xmas cake....
Guess you're in Spain- whereabouts? Have you tried the Petrichor, from Nomad Brewery? (Available from the Mahou webshop). I think it's the best commercial brew I've found here....

We have a place near Oriheula, beer wise I usually go cheap and cheerful to what ever is on offer but I quite like san mig magna. Im only over for a week so no time to order from Mahou but will do when over for longer next year! Salut! BTW the cardinals tipple provided a right royal hangover!
cheers

Evening all. I’m have a guest beer to start. A British Pils kindly sent by @dave_77.
Lovely pour, it’s crystal clear and perfectly carbonated. A steady stream of bubbles replenished the head right to the end of the pint.
The aroma is mainly lemon and grapefruit citrus, but the flavour is more complex. I’m getting grapefruit and gooseberry hop flavours on top of the mild malty background.
It’s a lovely lager, crisp dry and very refreshing. Cheers mate and that’s for sharing it.
