It’s a bit of a bummer. I have actually remembered to bring up my camera and tripod for once. As the sun sets over Greencastle we get treated to the most amazing colours, glowing red skys and deep azure seas. I was planning on joining the local youths in the sand dunes with a big carryout and taking some photos.
I am just back from shroove beach. I could see magilligan point. The rest was covered

49'er - delicious (but then I like crystal malt)
After a duck with a malbec.
East End Arms, New Forest.
A HOLIDAY!

The advection fog that has covered Castlerock for the last few evenings has finally cleared. I can almost see the Donegal headland across the mouth of the Foyle estuary. Enjoying a glass of Cote d’ Rhone while it’s still warm enough to sit outside.

That’s not the easiest read you have there for a relaxing break!

It does get a bit head melty, I’m taking it in small chunks in between doing crosswords with my 13yr old. She solved her first 15x15 last week with a bit of prompting and now she’s decided it’s time to move up from the Quick Cryptic and play in the big leagues. I haven't told her yet how much I struggle with them!

😂 Perhaps she can read the book and précis it for you!

I’ve one of these underway, will be ready to package at the weekend. Recipe needs a tweak or two, Looking for volunteers for a bottle swap and feedback.
I'd happily have a bottle.
I've got a citra/mosaic IPA bottled (it does the job but I've decided it's nothing special) and a citra weissbier currently carbonating.

The Citra Weissbier just got a bite! I’ll send you my address, happy to send one to anyone else who likes malty beers too.

Chateau Lafite Rothschild ‘89 … or back in the real world, Puligny-Montrachet ‘18 premier cru - but to be fair, it is a very fine wine indeed

Can't find this thread, but one of the most impressive wines I have ever tasted was a Puligny Montrachet. Strangely in Fuller's cellars, Chiswick.
Of all the wines tasted that day, no one spat that out!
