I aint good with flavoir descriptors. But I'm confident off oxidised flavours. This certainly didnt taste oxidised. That was my first thought.
Have had commercial beers before and they were oxidised but didn’t taste it cause they were very fresh. Possibly a bad angle for the photoI aint good with flavoir descriptors. But I'm confident off oxidised flavours. This certainly didnt taste oxidised.
Sounds like a plan mateThat sounds good. Fancy a swap for my Talus pale?
Will bottle after the BHSounds like a plan mate
No, came close. Bittering hop Target aroma EKG and Target dry hopI use target a lot for bittering Foxy, have you ever done a smash with it if so how was it
Malt bills are simple just pale malt, it is the hops which is the tricky bit. I put one in a comp under someone else, we all agreed it was pretty much spot on, nice back of the tongue bitterness. Got hammered by the judges, they didn't want English hops but American hop flavours. Checked their credentials none of the 3 were accredited judges. I would like to know what hops are in the Golden Ales in the UK?Ahh, the elusive taste of a British summer...
Elusive as the forecast for decent weather on a bank holiday weekend.
Not yet tried an Exmoor gold attempt, and a bit underwhelmed by a summer lightning attempt last year, I think the golden ales are hard to mimic well. My most pleasing attempt so far was the low ABV Burton Bridge Golden Delicious. An absolutely delightful brew that smacked of English summer! Ahhh!
Is this for a British golden ale. I have had two recently from forum swaps. It seems a hybrid between an English pale and and American pale. English Golden Ale can be hopped with either, just frustrating when someone who is judging cannot read the guidelines. S I was wondering what the Golden Ales in the UK are hopped with. They are American hop mad over here.Is this for a British golden ale. I have had two recently from forum swaps. It seems a hybrid between an English pale and and American pale.
