After faffing about this morning I was left without sufficient brew time so I buggered off metal detecting for a few hours to some pasture fields nearby. Not much in the way of finds..these fields are quiet and probably haven't been ploughed since the war but I managed a nice square buckle, probably Georgian and a bronze medieval leather mount.
For my efforts it's QC again on the Gumballhead clone,which I put in the fridge before I went out. Yes,that hits the spot!!

Another impressive beer from W&T.
A 4.8% amber this time.
Malty but quaffable. A bit of Caramel and I'm amazed just 15 IBUs works so well.
Been really impressed with the 4 beers I've tried so far. Nothing weird or wacky or OTT but all really well made and well balanced, like each recipe has been finely honed.
I would call them a brewers brewery.

My American 'almost smash' Cascade pale ale (extra pale MO and Cara malts) which somehow sneaked second in last months freestyle competition - trying to ration myself as I only made 10 litres !

LHG King of the Woodland 12.5% Imperial Stout with Pistachio and Honeycomb

Was reading the thread about over hyped beers and this one would hit an awful lot of the categories on their, it’s a pastry stout it is over 10%, with a somewhat pretentious name plus it’s not exactly the cheapest beer on the shelf. Yet it works the pistachio is very strong in this one, with a little sweetness it is in my view worth its price tag.

Just had a pale from @Leon103 . It had one of the New Zealand hops think it was Riwaka or Riwaku...bloody marvelous :hat: . Nice citrus aroma. Looked paler in the flesh. Flavour was piney and citrus. Lovely, good job mate

I went over mamore gap one time in the snow. The sun had hit the buncrana side and melted all the snow but hadn’t reached the Clonmany side so it was completly frozen by the time I got as far as the frozen side it was too late. Had a company car a Skoda octavia automatic and went down the windy side with the door open and a leg out in case I had to jump. Fu”k the car lol

After a 7 mile walk along the thames with the dog today the ale is flowing.
