Bristol Beer Factory Milk Stout (4.5%)

My first thoughts on this was oh that’s rather nice. It’s a really good stout, dark roasted malt flavour being quite pronounced but nicely offset with the sweetness from the lactose giving a really good balanced milk stout.

Eagle sticky toffee pudding ale, lovely as I dont eat pudding anymore, was a nice reminder. And a punk ipa, then possibly something from the cellar, a pale ale, as its all thats ready, the Juicebox went as soon as it came :beer1: :coat:

Here’s my Czech pale lager after a week in the bottle. Very impressed for it being so young, needs some more time to carb/condition for the head retention etc. The other half of the batch is force carbonating (set and forget method) in a 10L Minikeg and I’ll test that out next week.

Has anyone else got a son who could vandalise a rolled-steel-joist?

No.1 Son broke the last of my 650ml glasses when he stuck his hand inside it to dry it, then broke one of my smaller glasses by "catching" against the sink whilst shaking excess water off it. As a result, I am now drinking my Sweet Newkie Brown from the pint mug in the photograph.

However, with a lot of luck on delivery, by tomorrow I should be drinking from a stainless steel mug ... athumb.. athumb.. athumb..

... which he will probably dent! aheadbutt aheadbutt

Here it is! One stainless steel one-pint mug! athumb.. athumb.. athumb..

Now all I have to trust No.1 Son with is a glass pitcher where he can see the amount of head on the pint and then decant it into the mug! :beer1:

It seemed like a good idea at the time! aheadbutt

Have had 3 of lidl twisted knots aipa and three of the orange flavour ones which are quite bitter and I'm going to bed after watching Billy Connelly live at the Hammersmith and live 94 back to back. My Jaws are sore laughing and I'm slightly 4 sheets to the wind..... Good night..

White Horse Luna Special (4.3%)

I’ve had a lot of White Horse beer they jointly own the pub near where I work in Oxford alongside Titanic brewery so tend to be the standard beer on tap. So suffice it to say I was thrilled to see that they had started up operations again after being closed for the past couple of months. The Luna Special beer is very much a English Golden Ale, it’s got that lovely mixture of bitterness and hop aromatics, and not too strong. In normal times I would likely be alternating this with Plum or Cherry Porter.
