Now my last beer tonight - probably 😉

A bitter from @Clint beautifully carbonated (better than mine:mad:😂).

Nice head formed during the pour and is still there half a pint later as a thin covering over the surface. Beautifully clear, dark copper coloured beer.

Aroma is mostly malt with notes of burnt sugar and dark fruit, lovely.

Flavour is quite like the aroma, a nice malty bitter and every bit as good as the original - great job mate. athumb..

👏👏👏

I’m starting this evening with a Vienna/Centennial IPA from @Pennine

Nicely carbonated and poured with an airy white head which dissipated to a light covering of bubbles over the surface. The beer is an orange copper colour and quite hazy but you can see through the glass.

The aroma is quite complex, some citrus, a little herbal perhaps, definitely malt but also sweet as if a little honey had been added, and there’s a hint of alcohol though the beer is “only“ 5.3%.

The flavour is slightly woody and fruity, maybe some pithy orange? There’s no taste of alcohol. The bitterness is clean and well balanced against the 94% Vienna malt and the hops. No astringency and no diacetyl.

While writing this post I’ve finished the beer so can’t say any more except...

A nice beer, thank you!

After a long day I'm getting stuck into this, which I've never had before. It's very nice, a good DIPA is a wonderful thing indeed.

I found it awful. Heard loads of negative reviews but went into it with a open mind. Just found it tasted.of alcohol, really strong vodka kind of alcohol which I hate.

Maybe I've been drinking too many strong beers but I didn't get any alcohol from it at all. It's not one of the best DIPAs I've had but I really enjoyed it.

nice glad you enjoyed it. that honey floral note is definitely characteristic of centennial.

I am wondering if all these whirlpool and dry hop additions are changing my preferences. I have not been liking many traditionally hopped beers recently, this one included.

Maybe that’s just the natural order of things? Winter is coming so time for darker, more full-bodied and malty ales, possibly at a higher ABV.

Second bottle of the stove toppers voodoo chili porter, first went off like a rocket must have double primed doh! Nice brew, rich porter with a hint of chili heat underneath, now have kitchen to clean

Single hop (CTZ) pale ale. Kegged on Friday after seven days in the fermenter. A real easy drinker. Don't see this one lasting too long.
