Is it to early to start drinking a whisky barrel imperial stout? Nagh!
Brewed this with kveik, about three weeks in keg with oak chunks soaked in highland Park and it's so good. If your after a quick turnaround impy. Kveik is awesome. View attachment 25600
Don't stop now Hazelwood, perfect time of day for a coffee stout

Didn't realise you were also in Kent. It is looking like a fantastic day for a beer or twoOh no! Hopefully a better day today. We have beautiful blue skies at the moment in Kent. This picture is missing a beer in the foreground but I’m going to give it a few minutes

Just down the road then as I'm near stroodYes, I’m in Maidstone and @chrisb8 is Faversham (I think there’s a brewery there too ).
I can’t remember a lot from last night other than everyone drank a lot and we didn’t stop until very late.
I think I must have served well over 60 pints. I came down to 15 empty cider bottles and apart from a couple of older folks having a small glass of cider I only remember one person drinking it

The Hazy IPA went down really well with a couple of lager drinkers which I’m very pleased about. I might even adopt the recipe with a new name as a pseudo-lager!
So, a great first day to the weekend.
How many are living with you?
I thought social gatherings (apart from with those in the same household) were banned?
There was a “socially distanced” gathering of neighbours for VE celebrations. Must have been 13 because that’s how many fish n chip suppers we ordered.

I think it would be classed as a gathering. I am sure we were posting links to people doing this a few weeks back and we were all slating them. I have certainly seen articles in local press where police have been fining people for doing similar I.e. people have bbq's in the street.further up our street 4 adjacent houses had put a table & chairs out in their front garden which is open plan on our street. They were 2 meters apart and all at home. It looked a bit weird with the multitude of people going past and their random stray dogs attempting to snarf a meaty snack. I think that's within the guidelines?
They were showing plenty of people doing similar up and down the country on the news last night and there was no suggestion they were breaking any rulesI think it would be classed as a gathering. I don't believe I would have slated anyone who kept to the rules. What I was commenting on and didn't make clear that some weird situations can arise whilst still being withing the rules. This one up the road looked really weird. Google earth suggests that their rear garden fences are the original (4ft?) short ones. We put up 6ft around our back. Thing is when people walk past our front they can pass within 2 meters of me when i'm washing or polishing the car. should they move away from me or should I move back every 5 mins or so? - totally nuts.I think it would be classed as a gathering.
