Trying the first of the new (to me) Tesco beers.
It looks like this was only canned on 10th march (BB 10/03/21) which seems pretty good for an imported beer.
The hops aren't as punchy as the cloudwater pale, as you'd expect, but at 3 for a fiver - it's a yes from me. athumb..

After a couple of session beers I thought I'd start moving through the gears with this 6.5% neipa (also from Tesco)
Aroma is a bit disappointing although the mouthfeel is lovely and the alcohol is well hidden.

nice to see Sierra Nevada in cans! did they have the pale ale in cans as well?
 
Cracked my Junga Citra/mosaic pale ale to check carb (since Saturday). Carb nicely head falls away pretty quickly, but defo good carb after 15 mins drinking. Good aroma of pineapple/tutti frutti. Bitterness from Junga is well balanced, but limited fruity taste.

Pint of my Kentucky Common. Which, after tasting great, tasted really poor. Mystery was solved when I went for another point and the keg was empty. Last yeasty pint. That's it now, no more homebrew beer until my Golden ale is carbed up and conditioned. That's also it for my corny kegs until lockdown is over as I'm nearly out of CO2. So it's either bottling or something else. I'm thinking Easy Kegs, naturally carbed....... Anything but bottling!!
 
Ditch's stout mate, straight out of the FV, uncarbed, unconditioned, unchilled LOL.
I did it once just to see what the fuss was about.
It's coopers stout, brewed short to 4 gallon instead of 5. 1KG of dark spray malt and a mug of brown (possibly demerara) sugar.
He sups it straight out of the FV after a week.

Just for the experience, it's worth it.

I used a syringe to inject a bit of a head. Not messing about, it's not bad. Seriously.

Aye, I've done Ditchs stout many a time in my kit days. It's not the production that's the problem ( I've got 20L of golden ale in a king keg carbing up and 10L of Belgian Strong Golden ale ready to be packaged) it's the packaging. I've got no gas left - both my CO2 bottle and hambledon bard bottle are virtually empty. My only working king keg is full, so I'm left with packaging options that don't involve any external gas. So, I either have to start bottling, which is a total horror as I just cannot abide the whole process, or try out easy kegs and just sup them within the 3 days they are good for with no external gas, which at my current lockdown consumption rate shouldn't be an issue!:beer1::beer1:
 
I'm on the Citra IPA now.
It's a bit lairy at 6.3% but I will forgive it that.

It's only sensible I suppose to get it supped whilst it's at it's vibrant fruity self :) Would be a shame to let the hoppiness disappear.

That's what I'll tell the missus in the morning.
 
I use easy kegs, I started a thread that exploded LOL.
I have 8 now conditioning, as I won't ferment again until the end of summer.
I think easy kegs are brilliant for anything you like lightly carbed and 5% or under ABV. Once I open one, I sup the lot swift like.

I suggest everyone is a home brew virgin, if they haven't made a brew of Ditch's LOL

How was this? I did a Mosaic pale ale last weekend

It’s really nice.

I will always prefer my Citra/Galaxy pale ale and maybe even my brown ale (also flavoured using Mosaic) but it’s still a lovely brew and if they served it to you in a pub (Ahh, remember those days?) you’d be very happy. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
