If some of you remember I was challenged to take part in the Polaris Challenge, a 2 day event cover 50 miles a day off road mountain biking. So after 6 months training and getting fit losing around 12kg. I'm 10 days away from doing it and my partner ( the one that challenged me) has had second thoughts and pulled out.. SO I have wasted all this time not drinking or brewing much due to this upcoming event. So I am back on the wagon big time. I need to drink cornies dry fast so I can brew again. And after the day at work I have had I'm starting on the Effin imperial thats a yr old  I'm now in a challenge to see how fast I can replace the lost 10kg back on in beer.
See you all on the other side of my hangover back brewing and drinking Oh how I have missed it :drink:

Sorry to hear that mate. You could always carry on the cycling and the drinking, but not at the same time though.

Sorry to hear the challenge is off Nick, at least you can enjoy the odd tipple again.

on the plus side you will be more susceptible to the effects of you brews so will only need a few to get properly leathered, plus you will use less soap if you have lost 10kg.... less to wash and all that!!

To start me off slowly, I have just put on a turbo cider with lemon and ginger in the mix. Next weekend will be a summer ale of some sort :wha: fancy something cornish style, any suggestions?

Oh and I'm building myself a new shiney brewery spent £150 at Bes on fittings this week. Looking for some stainless to build a cradle for it all now

Figured out going to do a Proper job clone from Rickthebrew, so just ordered some yeast and 3 bags of hops.... £76 maybe over did it on the yeast.

Looks good but out of my size ranges so would end up cutting them up to fit. But will keep them in mind whilst planning :thumb:
