What’s the worst f*ck up you’ve ever done at work?

So today I had a proper nightmare day at the office.

I realised some of my forcasts on revenue for our work to year end were wrong. Like really wrong...... like half a million pounds wrong.......

I totally c*cked up and im gonna have to spend the next week trying to work out how I recover the situation.

I asked a woman who looked pregnant but wasn't, "When is the baby due?" I still cringe whenever I recall it.

I smashed a brand new courtesy car into the back of a car in road works (very slow shunt but it made a mess of the car) in the days when using mobiles was not illegal

I was working for the same diving company, Comex, at the time but wasn't on the Dolphin. That one was a serious **** up and should never have happened.

Years ago, in my first part-time job, working for Homebase, I was serving a customer at the till paying by cheque. The customer was buying loads of stuff, the total came to about £300. You had to stamp the back of the cheque and then take down details from the cheque guarantee card. Once I had done all that, I completed the transaction on the till, then, instead of putting the cheque in the till, I had a total brain fart and handed the woman the cheque back with her receipt. She walked out that shop and I got hauled over the coals.

Thats a deal breaker for plenty of people. When I see the miserable faces of city workers coming into London from the 'burbs (Im going the other way - out from zone 2 to zone 6), packed on commer trains like sardines I bet they would love to have a job they hated but was 45min less commute

The Dundee-Perth commute was pretty easy though, and living a few miles east of Dundee meant I would get on the train before the crowds got on at Dundee station.

When I was an intern at a digital marketing agency, a client of ours was migrating their website to a new platform and new design (moving from a static site to Joomla for those interested). My boss told me to "take down the old site" so I deleted it outright without saving anything there and then. Didn't realise the new site wasn't ready or that they still wanted the content from the old site. I managed to save the content by quickly doing a site: search in Google before it updated its cache, managed to get the new site up with relatively little downtime.

I think I have many other large screw ups, can't think of the big ones right now.

The Dundee-Perth commute was pretty easy though, and living a few miles east of Dundee meant I would get on the train before the crowds got on at Dundee station.

Same here really. A combination of going the opposite way to a large majority of the commuters and not travelling during rush hour in the mornings means my commute is relatively easy

Ran over 300 quids worth of first aid stuff with the ambulance. Got away with it cause of were it had been left by the cleaners
