Does anyone here partake in the fun nonsense that is Whamageddon?

In case you've never heard of it, the rules are simple. Try not to hear any part of Wham's Last Christmas between 1st December and midnight on Christmas Eve

If you're partaking, how's it going? I still haven't beaten my best outcome in 2018 when I managed to complete the challenge. 2019 was about middle of December walking out of work and 2020 when I thought I had a good chance because of working from home, but absent-mindedly put on a Christmas playlist in early December and sent myself straight to Whamhalla.

Giving blood this evening they had a Magic FM style radio station on and I was a bit worried, especially when Boney M's Mary's Boy Child came on, but I got away safely.

i got caught out on day 4 sitting in a coffee shop, much to the pleasure of my kids a they said HA you've been caught they are playing wham before i even noticed it was playing...
still its better than i did last year as i only managed till day 2 then

Resurrecting an old thread... but it's NOVEMBER for crying out loud and Vernon Kay has been playing Christmas songs all week. Anyway, I refuse to be forced into Whamhalla in November, so despite hearing Last Christmas just now, I'm considering myself still in the game for this year.

I've lost my airpods this week, and rarely use the car, so I reckon this may be the first year I've a chance at getting into December avoiding this... I also have to admit to enjoying the song when it was first released and singing along to it then.. but I was a teeny bit younger then.

Shame on you, Anna. We all have our darkest secrets, but airing them so brazenly!!! Well!
If I sent you MY airpods, could you lose them for me?
🤣❄️❄️❄️👯

I don't listen to much radio (a bit of Radio 4 and 6 when cooking or preparing food) so I don't think radio is the risk for me. But I'm heading into town later to do some Christmas shopping, so that might be my downfall!

I normally have radio 2 on in the morning as background - up until The Daily Mail letter
Personified comes on at 12, then I switch to Spotify.

I'm going to have to find something else for the mornings until Christmas is over (or I get whammed)
