Sorry for the long post!
I made an English bitter for this which I entered into this comp. I Packaged two bottles especially and kegged the rest. I was so pleased to find my bitter got 3rd place and I hadn’t even tasted it myself! Anyway, last Friday I put the keg on in the afternoon looking forward to eventually trying it. However, I went to grab a pint later that evening to find the beer line had somehow popped out and found the whole keg over the floor of my bar, and an empty CO2 tank
Long story short, I thought I’d wait until I had the judges comments before making another batch in order to take it on board and hope to improve the recipe. As said in a few posts above, this would have been no good at all with the tick box score sheets. Fortunately for me, one of the two judges had used a conventional (if that’s the word) score sheet for mine and I think I’ve been so lucky to get what I think is some very helpful feedback and advice on how I can improve my recipe.
So, another shout out from me for old score sheets please.
