I have finally got round to bottling my wash and have tried a few different products to flavour it. My friend owns a deli and very kindly loaned me a few ingredients to us. I have used....

Madagascan vanilla

A few different flavourings by a company called Shepcote (never heard of them before but she's used them for years in all sorts of things so I gave them a try)

I have aniseed, brandy, champagne, liquorice, and lemon and I have to say I'm impressed with them all apart from the brandy.

The aniseed tastes like raki (Turkish) or ouzo (Greek)
The brandy is really sweet and not enough flavour
The liquorice is brilliant, it is root extract rather than stem so taste more like a Pontefract cake than an all sorts
The champagne is my favourite, better than the real thing in my eyes and I'm tempted to try and make it sparkling ;)
And the lemon is exactly what is says, sweet and sour and lemony

I have also added some sour shoe lace sweets to one bottle and with be trying a variety if other sweets with the others.

Also done some skittles vodka. Check out my pics and let me know what you think :)

Well I think that's just plain weird but my 17 year old daughter would definitely approve.

Champagne flavoured wash sounds interesting, the real thing is wasted on me and I can force carbonate in Corny kegs.

Might seem weird Moley but it's definately the best one. The Champagne flavouring doesnt taste like champagne but its not far off. No tart pallette and slightly sweet. I'm sure you could give it a go ;)

Been told that a rhubarb and custard boiled sweet left in a bottle will dissolve in half an hour and is really nice :) I'll try it this weekend an report back

Oh definitely try it. One of my all time favourite sweets, can never seem to find them round here though :( or Yorkshire mixture
