Posting from phone so struggling with the lack of technology :D

Make sure you call them or put a note in asking for treatment advice for your listed beer styles otherwise you won't get specific advice :)

I've used this service and am happy with results.
Only problem is that I don't know any chemistry.
I have very, VERY, soft water and even a pale ale is hitting ph4.9 in the mash.

Top marks to Murphys and Paul the lab manager. :thumb: :hat:

My tap water sample arrived with them this morning and I had my report with treatment recommendations for different brew types arrived by email this afternoon!!

The recommendations are very clearly laid out and categorised into Bitters and Pale ales; Stouts, Porters and Milds and finally, Lagers and Pilsners. There are clear instructions as to how much of the required addition needs to be made per 25 litres of liquor needed or 25 litres of beer to be made.

The recommendations are based on using their own treatment chemicals which I have a feeling are the same stocked by Rob at Malt Miller. (AMS, DWB, Calcium Chloride Flake, Lactic Acid, Calcium Sulphate and common or garden salt)

They have a new machine which has made the water analysis super speedy in addition to only needing about 30mls of your tap water so it cuts postage down....... except I put my 40ml sample in a small spring water bottle which, once packaged, meant it had to go parcel post and cost me fiver

Entirely my fault and I have learned for next time!! get a small sample bottle from the chemist or doctors or something!

My treatment chemicals will be arriving tomorrow with the aim of getting a brew on over the weekend.

This service definitely offers superb value for money at £18!

What additions did they recommend out of interest... a little bit of this and a little bit of that?
