my water PH is 6.5 is this ok for brewing lager?? I normally brew ale and don't have any issues... but i was wondering about lager as i hope to had a go over winter. i heard about using acid malt to increase the acidity, is it worth using.

For brewing purposes your water pH is irrelevant, it's the alkalinity you need to know. For a lager you want an alkalinity of <20ppm. If you don't know what your alkalinity is then you could use Ashbeck water with a little calcium chloride added, something like 0.15g/L.
