Yes, I’m an *****

Yes, I have a check valve, but that’s in the kegerator, and I was burst carbing some water straight from the cylinder. (Via the regulator before anyone asks)

Was about to move the keg and released the pressure at the reg end, not the keg end and cue a fizzy water shower through the reg vent thing.

It’s just water.

I’ve dried it off best I can and put it in the airing cupboard to dry out.

Is my reg goosed?

No, I’ve filled mine with beer twice. I just flushed it out with star san in a spray bottle.

NRV’s now fitted!

I hate dislike it on occasion when people don't return to give an update on things.

So - update:

It's been a few weeks and as far as I can tell my regulator is not goosed.

As I said, stuck it in the airing cupboard for a few hours and reconnected, all seems fine.

Yeah definitely, thanks for the update. This is worth knowing.
I have not had this happen to me yet. But if it does I shan’t panic too much.
Thanks

I've put beer through mine twice, and through my spunding valve. As long as you take it apart straight away, clean and allow to dry it will be fine, they are pretty simple devices!

They're very easy to dismantle, clean and dry. This gives you a rough idea:

Wish I'd done mine a bit sooner after I accidently filled it with beer, luckily it doesn't seem to have caused any lasting damage but has caused a little corrosion internally.
