I am just starting out with BeerSmith, and I have programmed in my own water profile data provided from my water board. To emulate Dortmund Germany's profile BS is suggesting the use of 16.2 grams of epsom salts to achieve 25ppm ratio in 40L of water.

Is it me or does this seem to be a rather large quantity? Has anyone else come across this?

Thanks

do you get your water from seven trent , i do and i would love the figures you have , have you tried adding them in the forum water calcs ?

I have taken a look at the THBF water calculator, the additions suggested do not match up with Beersmith. Could this be down to the fact that BS matches to water profile, THBF water calc has beer styles rather than area. :wha:

Does anyone use BeerSmith 2 for their water profiles? Do they work out?

Thanks :D
