If all goes well i hope to be moving to a country where the sun shines during the summer, I do hope i can continue to brew all year round.

The problem that i see is that during the summer months the temprature will be in the higher 30's, from everything i have seen, this is too high a temprature to brew anything, as it will probably cause off flavours.

should i unpack my bucket's cornies and king kegs

has anyone had any experience of brewing in warmer climes???

you could buy a fridge big enough for your fermenter when you get out there and stick an ATC800 on it to make it stay at 18'c

I lived in Andalucia for a while, temperatures in summer time there were commonly in the 30's and touching 40 was not uncommon. Still a lot of villagers made homebrew wines (mostly from moscatel grapes). The wine was delicious and medium or sweet. From what i could see it was a very low tech operation and happened in basements.

One of the great things about brewing there was a legacy of the Moors. They knew how to build houses that stayed cool naturally, very thick solid stone walls, small windows, stone floors and some clever ventilation that i know nothing about. So if you find a place with thick stone walls, a cellar, stone floor and small windows (if any) in the cellar then you have every chance of making wines and other brews without using a\c or refridgeration. Furthermore your capacity won't be limited by gadgets or bills to maintain a low enough temperature.

The only way you'll know for sure is to check out available property in the summer with a thermometer.

There are plenty more fishy people using ATC 800's than brewers so you can search their forum for more info just wire your fridge in place of the fans they are using. :
