I would like to be able to have a water level gauge on my SS Burco HLT.
Has anybody successfully made anything that works well for this?

Thanks,
Andy

True - but it's not quite as "bling". :-)

That said, I may well go with a dipstick - would do the job just fine and would be sight less hassle than fitting a tube to the burco.
Wonder what to mark it with - marker pen would probably bleed undesirables into my liquor.

Why bother, just use the graduations already there (if using a ruler)
B&Q sell them in various sizes.
Alternatively you could scratch graduations into a stainless strip, also sold at B&Q. Pop it into the boiler when boiling to sanitise any nasties in the scratches, and don't make the scrathches too deep.
