Videne dilution ?

I've just purchased a 500ml bottle of Videne to sterilise my gear,but there are no dilution instructions with it
Can anyone help please ?

If it's the Videne antiseptic solution then it's 1.25ml per litre for "no rinse".

There won't be, because we are using the product for a purpose which it hasn't been licensed for.

However, the manufacturers know we're doing it and have not attempted to stop us.


I use mine at 1.5ml to the litre, and I do rinse and drain, although I believe it's still regarded as “no rinse” at that dilution.

Never heard of Erector pants before........that's my story and I'm sticking to it, on a serious note I bought a set of stainless steel measuring spoons from Wilko's, smallest spoon is 1.25ml (simples) they were about £1.50 or something like that.

Think I payed around £7 for mine from the local chemists, but it lasts ages and is so handy to have made up in a 1ltr sprayer just in case you forget to sterilise something.

I made a batch of this up ages ago and keep it with my cornies in the fridge, how long do you think it will keep before it needs replacing?

Speaking of those pants they are great and feel nice agaisnt your skin, I'm told.
