If there's any fans of the Alien series of films, can I suggest you see the new film Prometheus, well worth watching as it continues the story....

but I do wish Sigourney Weaver was still running around in her knickers....

yes i want to see that film , seen all the others many times , often at 1am in the morning lol , looks a cracking sifi

I found it to be predictable, laughable and cringeworthy.

The special effects weren't very special, the storyline appeared to have been written by a 14 year old on secondment to the studio and the acting was more pantomime than Sci-fi suspense.

If a big fan of the Alien movies than it's worth a watch, but wait until it's on special offer DVD in the bargain bin in your local supermarket.

I must be one of the few that actually enjoyed it :|

From a general movie view it's not bad. I have certainly seen far worse. From an aliens/predator standpoint then yes it's probably one of the weaker films out of the franchise. However what was funny about it was seeing people nerd rage outside the cinema. Both myself and my brother-in-law laughed at people as they ranted how it didn't fit in with the established universe.

Nothing funnier than a fanboy/girl scorned.

Have seen prometheus and it didn't do anything for me, was one of those films that you just get up at the end and shrug.

on another note

Beerfest is amazing!

The thing I loved most about the film was the rant that my incredibly opinionated, fanboy, film school graduate mate went on afterwards. I have never seen anyone go off quite so amusingly. He actually posted an essay about it on Facebook. I quite enjoyed the film, it has its flaws but is an all round exciting and tense movie. I try not to be a film critic because you end up being far too cynical and never enjoy anything. Suspend your disbelief!!
