Some beer brewers add finings to clarify the beer when racking into a barrel. Finings can include plant-derived products, like Irish moss, or animal-derived products, like isinglass and gelatin.

I am a veggie and the wife is vegan which can cause problems with meals at home. Neither of us would ever preach to anybody about what they eat. I would say though I don't agree with factory farming but I suppose farmers have to make a living.
As a afterthought what do commercial brewers use for finnings?

Guinness hasn't used isinglass (fish swim bladder) since 2018.

Should be. Most of my brew club use gelatin to fine.
But none of us are vegan.
