Has anyone brewed anything with vanilla in it and if so what did you use and when did you add it

Instead of brewing with it, pour your favoured beer and add a few drops of essence...
See if you like it rather than make 40 bottles of.. Meh!

I've added pure vanilla essence when bottling a milk stout. Enough to give a very faint hint rather than strong vanilla flavour...

i put a couple of cut up pods into my imperial stout at kegging time.
hell knows what happens to it, there’s never any trace of them when I clean the kegs
