Hi,

Got my coopers in a keg which has about 1/4 beer left in it and has absolutely no pressure left in it.

Took out the co2 bulbs which came with my kit but I cannot figure out for the life of me how to use the damn thing!!

I'm sure it is something simple and i'm missing a trick somewhere but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

have you the screw in bulb holder ? you place bulb in holder then screw it in and it will release all of it in one go , you may need 2 .

I thought it was that simple but couldnt see a thread on the holder to actually screw it on.

I tried just pressing it down and the ridge stops it going all the way, when i tried to screw it it started to shave off the plastic and carve it's own thread!

How difficult should it be? I did manage to get it to screw down but the bulb never actually pierced

I've just had another go and it just will not screw on without wrecking either the plastic injector bit or my hands!

Should it be that difficult to do?

Mine used to be tough, remember your piercing a pressured bottle.
I used to have to use a tea towel to stop my hand being shredded.

Finally managed it! I was sure it wouldn't be that difficult.

It still hurt like hell and stripped some of the plastic off of the adapter again. Put a towel around it like you suggested and just kept twisting with a mind of 'I wont stop untill it works or it breaks'... luckily for me it worked!

Just in time as well, I was starting to get cranky with the idea of not being able to have my beer!!!

You can get a bulb holder that has stainless steel threads . I picked one up for less than a fiver . It runs smoothly until you get to point of the pin touches the bulb then has to give it a good twist
