My recipe states to add hops as follows to a 90min boil...

Start of boil 46g Challenger
80mins in 15g Goldings
End of boil 9g Goldings

When I add these into a recipe calculator do I input the MINS value as follows?

Challenger 0mins,
Goldings 80mins
Goldings 90 mins

Also how long do I leave the hops in that I add at the end of the boil?

Hi

it is the other way round, as based on how long you boil them for, so:

Challenger 90 mins ( assuming 90 min boil )
Goldings 10
Goldings 0

I leave my last hops for about 20 - 30 mins, sometimes adding as I turn off, sometimes cooling to 80C then add

I had a funny feeling that'd be the case.... you'd think the calculators would state it though although i'm sure they don't assume 2nd time brewers to be having a go!

Are all the hops removed after the boiled mix has cooled then?

If were talking All Grain brews? The hops are left in and allowed to settle to the bottom to act as a filter when running off the cooled wort. Are you boiling the hops loose or in a bag the extract way??

I've bought a 1.8kg can of LME and after a bit of advice on here plan to buy a bag of DME to bring it up to 3kg although I might just return the can of LME and use 3kg of DME...

So your answer is 'in a bag'.
