hello everyone my first post on the forum.i,ve spent ages trolling the forums on this,my question is:atm my friend brews beer using beerkits and makes a fine job.this is dispensed from 2 king keg top tap barrels which have s30 valves fitted.to save hassle and time we are looking to use a standard pub style co2 cylinder for gas.the idea is to have a primary reg and 2 secondaries,1 to each barrel.are the king kegs suitable for this system?also i,m not sure how to connect to the barrel cap, plus what type of prv i should use.any advice on fittings and any help would be much appreciated cheers

I've got one with a shrader valve and tyre inflator. It's not permanently feeding gas, I just set the reg and gas it up during each session. I did look into having one of those clip-in tyre valves but I hear they can leak. If you've already got an s-30 on the barrel that'll act as the pressure relief. The valveless lids have that white rubber bit as a safety. You can get bulkhead corny fittings. My solution cost me about £2.20 total.

Thank you for the reply not dealt with corny fittings. I presume the posts will fit on a barrel cap. The other thing I forgot about was disconnecting and also having the barrel cap sealed at the gas in before the barrel is out on line so to speak. By that I mean with say a jog bulkhead fitting I would need to have some form of shut off. Again many thanks Drunkula. Btw gas will only be turned on during session

I reckon the easiest way is to fit these caps to the King Kegs ...

The Schrader valve can be used to both add CO2 to increase the pressure and to measure the pressure with an ordinary tyre pressure gauge.

If the pressure isn't increased too rapidly the Pressure Relief Valve on the S30 injection point (a simple rubber band) will relieve any excess pressure before damage occurs to the King Keg - or you blow yourselves up!

Hope this helps. :thumb:
