I finally Kegged my Beer and its sitting at 18-21 for a week.

I put 85grams of sugar into the keg and sealed it. Now I've read that I should have double this. Is this correct?

I doubt I'll be doing a Lager in a keg again, and I know I'll not get much carbonation but can anyone tell me if this is under priming for a Lager, so I know for future?

Thanks

Kegs dont hold as much pressure as bottles which you could make fizzy lager in. If I was you I would leave it as is and chalk it up to experience. Kegs are good for less fizzy stuff.

As said above, you really need to be bottling Lagers, unless you've got Cornelius equipment. Plastic kegs are only meant for ales and 85g of sugar would be fine for them!!

As you now know Lager is better suited to bottles or cornie kegs. 85grams is spot on for budget kegs (no matter what style you put in it) I think you can go up to 120g for king kegs as they will take slightly more pressure but I wouldn't try putting any more in a budget type keg. It will almost certainly end up in a leaking tap seal or worst case scenario a burst keg and a very wet floor

I used a plastic keg once an the first 8 pints were fine but after that it was flat and wouldn't come out unless I cracked the lid, I bottle everything now
