I've been following Man City since 1968, so a bit of a Stockport glory hunter really.
I also support human right's abuses and anything else you'd like to aim at City.
I dunno. Anyone? I'm guessing we're gonna have to keep this to the one thread ;-)

Sunderland fan here. It’s not been easy, especially growing up in Scotland.

Actually, I discovered this place thanks to the Sunderland message boards. There was a massive home brewing thread and @Wilfy and @DoctorMick were both contributors to it

We haven't had a football thread here as like political threads on forums they usually end in a big argument.

I am also a Manchester City fan and yes I was there when we were ****!

For the non football fans below is something rival fans shouted at us when we started to have success when the oil money moved in "where were you, where were you, where were you when you were ****"

.

Ok then..
Mick.
I think we all remember when we were all Sunderland supporters that great Cup Final day.
I watched the recent Sunderland Till I Die documentary intermittently. I couldn't bear to watch episodes all at once.

Mick! Tell us about being a Sunderland supporter and life in Scotland. Care and share brothers..
This is gonna be ace..

If the 'is brew dog too expensive?' thread is anything to go by, might give this one a miss :tinhat:

What's a Man City 1968 and a Stockport Glory? Some kind of barley wines?
Must confess I DON'T support human rights abuses whether in or out of the city.

Gary Sprake. The best keeper Leeds had. David Harvey was excellent too. Sprake isn't fondly remembered at Leeds.

There’s not much to tell really. It was the mid-90s and we were primarily a second tier team. The team that wore red and white stripes in the Premiership at the time was Southampton and I used to be mistaken for a Saints fan constantly when wearing a Sunderland shirt - I hate them as a result.

After the Kevin Phillips golden boot, consecutive 7th place finishes etc I was recognised more, then that ended in humiliation with 2 record breaking low points totals.

Everyone in Scotland had an “English” team and it’s usually someone like Man Utd or Arsenal so I stood out like a sore thumb!

I am not a lover of football. I was "persuaded" by my old man to play when I was a kid even though I hated it and was completely crap. I was even taken to football grounds...now that's human rights abuses!
I would sooner go teetotal than watch football. It makes me ill...
But..whatever floats your boat...

Tottenham season ticket holder. Gutted by yesterdays result, but can't wait to finally get into the new stadium, it looks amazing. Beavertown brew on site as well, so looking forward to sampling their wares.

£10 a pint most likely

Whenever I hear friends in the pub bang on about football it inevitably slides into some form of bragging and slagging affair. Not for me, off for a surf before the sunsets.

I am not going to show this ****** face as he doesn't deserve his 5 minutes of fame, what were the morons that clapped him as he left the field thinking do they really want to go back to the bad old days of fences because thats what will happen if the trend carries on (i believe another so called fan did this today).

Jack Grealish attacked by spectator in Birmingham v Aston Villa game

Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish was attacked by a spectator who ran on to the pitch in the Championship match at rivals Birmingham City on Sunday.

It happened in the 10th minute when a man wearing a cap came on to the pitch from the home section before swinging his arm towards Grealish's face.

The man, who was wearing a Birmingham City jacket, blew kisses towards the crowd as he was led away by stewards.
