You tell me, we don't get the bleating and crying and life isn't fair rammed down our throats. Poms just like to complain, if it isn't the weather, its the soccer, why haven't we got more English players in the Premier League, because English are crap at soccer! And cricket for that matter. Why haven't we got a Labour government, they would do so much better. Pigs **** they would. Nothing will change! Labour won't tax the rich, Labour won't start Nationalising, Labour won't call for the redistribution of wealth, they will run the country the same way as it is being run now. Could be worse but I doubt very much it would be better.
You're da's from Cork?

Explains the angry rants

Prisoners of mother England.
Live and learn eh?

I was always taught that the word “Poms” came from the fact that newly arrived people turned as red as Pomegranates in the Australian sun.

This happened even after we stopped using Oz as a penal colony (1788 to 1868) so it seems a more plausible explanation of the word.
athumb..

Never angry, bemused with some posters belief of the pot of gold at the bottom of the rainbow under Labour.
Typical Cork.

Common saying in Ireland:

"As bemused as a Cork man's views of Labour's pot of gold policies"

Has your Da repeatedly reminded people he's from Cork, hate Kerry/England/Dublin and occasionally screamed 'Langer' at people?

Cricket you say, it comes back to me now, cheating aussies!

I am not from Cork and my Da voted Labor. We don't have to follow parental voting habits.
I know.

Anyway you never answered my question.
Did your Da repeatedly remind people he was from Cork, have a seething hatred of Kerry/England/Dublin and occasional shouted 'Langer' at people?

It hasn't?

It's had huge effects here in Ireland.
Thankfully we've had a responsible government held to account by an aggressive opposition.

You had Boris, I believe.
and low tax rates for foreign companies who set up headquarters there.
