Turkey Baster

I've recently been using a turkey baster to take samples of my beer for testing but to use the baster it always squirts a bunch of air into the beer before it sucks it up. Isn't this a big no-no and is there anything I can do to stop it?

Squeeze the bulb BEFORE you put it in your liquid. :thumb:

I used to remove the bulb and just use my thumb to plug the hole like a thief
