Have looked about on forum but cannot find the answer.
I have marssy's turbo recipe on file but not quite sure if making 5 gallon (5 times the recipe) in a 5 gallon FV do i multiply all ingredients by 5 or not?
Simple question but i don't know the answer. :hmm:

I don't know the recipe, but the general rule is the muliply all the ingedients. So yes, multiply everything by 5, the only exception being the yeast, one 12g sachet of yeast will be enough to do the whole 5 gallons.

Just sampled mine which I have in storage in a 5 gallon fermentor...........

WOW

I used 25 litres of apple juice 5 tsps of pectin 5 tsps of grape tannin and 5 tsps of malic acid. Once fermentation had subsided i topped up to the neck with another 5l of apple juice and 1 each of the above so I have 30l. I did mine back in september and it is still in the fermentor in a cool place.

The tannin adds bite and th emalic acid provides a bit of sharpness which mellows with age giving a nice west country cider taste.

I aslso used a yeast I cultured up from a bottle of some Westons cloudy cider. I took the dregs and added to a litre of apple juice and let it ferment out then added another litre then added the yeast which had mulitplied and settled out to the above.

Thanks for the replies.
Was not sure about yeast (still learning this hobby).
But i did think that it, excuse me, grows to fit the pants as to say.
So a good teaspoon should be suffice, as per one gallon, to do the five gallon.
