Hi, just doing a demijohn of TC and if it turns out well im thinking of making a big batch.
has anyone used a pressure barrel for their TC, how was the outcome?
Cheers.

Have done a "normal" cider kit, which half went into a keg. Should be okay for you :-)

Yeah have put my Tc's in barrels, have always kept the Co2 pressure high just to give it a bit of a sparkle

Absolutely fine my cider lives in a top tap king keg :thumb:
how long have you left it in for only started brewing 6 month ago mines been slowly going down for 2mnths now still tastes fine , last week i bottled a new batch and had a gallon over (not enough bottles ) so i just mixed it with the last batch in the keg

Stupid question time...

So to make this Turbo cider is it an ok method to brew in a FV, clear then put it in a pressure barrel?

Only done wines and never used a barrel before.

What's the best way to clear a cider? Vinclear like a wine or is there another method?

If it's in a pressure keg pressurised with carbon dioxide it will keep as long as if it was bottled.
It won't quite keep as long as if it was bottled, all plastic is Oxygen permeable to some extent but it'll be fine for 6months if it last that long :drink:

My TC lives in my baby cornies, two DJ's fill one little cornie very nicely and leave just enough for sampling.

I found one last week and is was wonderful, about 6 months old. :drunk:
