Getting up in the night for a P especially in the winter months something i never used to do when i was younger however much i had to drink the night before. asad1

I was going to say SWMBO for a laugh but she occasionally reads the forum 😱

Thats because you have joined my club and drink more beer/wine- more in more out:laugh8:

You can't be an idiot if you know you are. It's called being daft, like what I am, which is a superior quality to have.
Many times my daftness has saved the day. Life is way to short to not act daft or have moments of spontaneous daftery.
Take a look at all those serious people marching around especially those boneheads in work who really are not important or any good at anything bar leg humping and talking utter sh1te. They'll be the richest in the cemetery.

Seeing the younger generations doing everything i did, i feel like screaming at them wake up your being lied to, then i realise they just think i am a grumpy old fecker

Pretty much every fricking night now days, beer or no beer. Worst bit is if I get conscious enough in that process to start thinking about work or whatever else is the current stressor I can then be awake for ages trying shut those thoughts out a lose consciousness again. I've tried to perfect the zombie shuffle, moving from bed to bog while trying to stay as close to sleep as possible. Luckily when we had our loft converted to our bedroom we also gained an ensuite 😁

For me it's probably people first and foremost, I mean I don't hate everyone and have good friends and family, but whenever I venture in places like the high street, busy supermarkets and so on I do often wonder what humanity has come to, at least in the UK anyway.

Mind you I've never really liked crowds, loud environments and so on. Parties now just have me finding a quiet corned with like minded individuals to have a conversation with. Most recent was my sister-in-law's 50th, end of January, I spent most of it sat outside under a patio heater but I wasn't alone, too noisy in the hall itself. Weird really as I used to go clubbing and all sorts a lot in my younger days 😂

A trick that works for me to get back to sleep after the inevitable P visit. Breathe really shallow and slowly (almost to the point where you think you are out of breath) and think only about breathing as slow and shallow as you can. You'll probably go off and jolt awake a couple of times then you should be off.

(Strangely I think I get up more if I haven't had a beer, maybe its the tea ?)
