Yup 2.1L :(
But unfortunately I couldn't mount the tap any lower due to a bloody great 10mm high torus in the bottom of the bucket

Nice Shoes

Defo DM's IMO - and i'm liking them

I can now picture TS going down to brighton on a moped to kick some "rocker ass"

Sorry TS - got carried away

They are in deed a pair of 3 hole cherry red DM's :thumb:
They are still going EB although the majority of manufacturing is in Thailand :(
They are still made in Northhampton but they attract a premium

Hmmm - 2.1L is quite a bit - I wonder whether you could get it lower by using a different hop strainer :hmm:
Still, I suppose if you are going to be making large batches it is not so bad

Ouch - IIRC They we're not cheap to buy in the first place
Last for ever though :thumb:

You won't go wrong :thumb:
Cherry reds for casual and I have a pair of black for work :thumb:

Just ordered a pair for the Mrs but with a 6" heel

I'm anticipating a major spillage

I think I bought the same ones a few months ago for Mrs Jamesb.

FWIW, I love DMs, but I prefer New Rocks.

Very nice TS :thumb: . How much vol were you using and how long did it take to get it to the boil? (I assume you got it there on 2 elements) I've heard that most peeps prefer a vigorous boil, so would you keep a rolling boil of your wort on both as standard? Or is that a bit excessive?

I started with 50L to boil :thumb:
It got a bit close to the top as it came to the boil but I got it under control by beating it with a big SS spoon
As for the time it took to get to the boil I couldn't really say :wha:
I have one element on while the sparge is in progress and I had to interrupt everything while I went to pick up my daughter
Yes two elements to get a good rolling boil going and then I switch one element off to just maintain the boil :thumb:
