Hi Guys,

I've just started my 4th home brew (smugglers gold). I've got high expectations and have an OG of 1054 with a bit of extra spray malt!! Drinking St Peters IPA right now and I feel pretty battered after 3 pints. :drunk:

Some people say they put a teaspoon of trub in the barrel for second ferment with the spray malt. Is this a good idea or not?

Not tried this but would have thought there'd be enough suspended yeast to carbonate without doing so.

Thanks! Instructions never say to do it so I won't this time. Cheers!
