Hi All,

Just got back from holiday so as you can imagine I'm a bit short of cash until payday. Thing is, I'd promised to take SWMBO out for a meal tonight. Now I obviously can't, she wasn't that bothered as she knew why.

I accidentally later on mentioned that I'd just put a rather large order into H&G for hops and yeast.

Lead Balloon. I think I might be on the sofa tonight

What's got you into trouble from your brewing habit, come on, let's hear the dirt.

Sorry to hear of your problem JB. I always make a good financial case for investing in leisure equipment particularly that which can put food or drink on the table. Hence a number of fishing rods, air rifles and homebrewing material.

My missus is generally OK with this but has recently drawn the line at drilling a hole in the back door to allow cornies to be stored outside whilst being accessible in the house via a tube. Do you think she is being unreasonable :?:

I'd say that she's coming into the grounds of unreasonable behaviour. After all, you allow the bathroom and bedroom to be the storage area for her many bottles.

Well I do use the bathroom to wash cornies and fermenters out when it's cold outside. So I think I might be playing a draw on that one :)
:) :)

Commonly heard in this house about once a month is "GET THOSE FSCKING BOTTLES OUT OF THE FSCKING BATH!"

Now that is unreasonable. It wouldn't be me who was on the couch :nono: honest

As my Brewery and all associated equipment is in MY workshop i don't get grief in that way.
I get grief due to the effect of the beer on me. Cos i'm now proudly growing a nice little beer belly. Apparently i sleep like a log but snore really loud now too.

Mine said "It's beer or me" I have the whole house to myself now :thumb:
And i'm building a HERMS in the kitchen

The silly girl, never ask a man that question, don't they teach them that at school  ?

Sorry to sound like a smug **** here but my good lady friend doesn't mind one bit about my brewing mainly because she matches me pint for pint  The only issue with that is my beers disappear twice as quick!

The wife complained that she couldn't get to the tumble dryer for the cornies so I moved them onto the back step. I mentioned again that I'd like to drill a hole in the door to take a pipe through as I had to put my coat on to get a pint. She said "well it's just like going down the pub then"

"But it's closer and I can spend more time with you darling xxx"

I'm literally trying to sweet talk mine this minute into letting me storing the stuff in the shed in the house. The non-brewing related stuff anyway.

Don't you just get tired of doing the leg over stuff though :hmm:
