I'm all set to get another stout on the go tomorrow and I'm gonna use 1kg extra dark spray and some treacle but I'm no see how much to put in and I know it's all about experimenting but I'd hate to ruin a whole batch of bevy, anyone got a good start point for me ,???????

great post that i liked the pics.ill start with 300 then see how i get on i think ill prime the bottles with it to

The last time I made stout I used 500g dark demerera, 250g dark spraymalt, 250g BS ( and that ain`t bulls**t..lol ). no treacle whatsoever and it was the doggies danglies, I did put in a wee bit of licquorise. This was using the coopers Irish stout and an English ale yeast, next time I might try using the Whites lab Irish ale yeast. good luck in your brew, hope it turns out to be the ambrosia we all strive for.
