Hi people really wanrin to get in too home brew,am just new to enjoying drinking IPA and trying all different kinds,am looking for a good starter kit to brew with, and any suggestions on a brew.thanks for any advice

hi Dan

if you want a nice simple kit go for a premium (two can) kit. all you need should be there already. so any of the festival or youngs would be good as they come with extra brewing sugar and priming sugar.
for a slightly cheaper premium kit I would strongly recommend a st peters. you will need extra brewing sugar but this stuff is relatively cheap and occasionally on offer in wilkos.

Welcome to the Forum.

Both the above provide good advice. I especially like the Woodfordes range of kits.

UPDATE

On the basis of "Put your money here your mouth is!" ...

... and the fact that Wilco in Louth have knocked £4 off a Woodfordes Wherry ... :thumb: :thumb:

... I bought one for £16! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Thanks for advice people am going to have a look in thoses recomened,if any one could recomned a equipment starter kit would appreciate thanks

Do you have a local Home brew shop? If so, they will have everything you need. If not, then there are plenty of online shops that will sell equipment kits. You will need a fermenting tub, airlock (although you can brew without one), hydrometer and test jar, thermometer, large brewing spoon/paddle, syphon, sterilizer (VWP or starsan etc) and something to store your beer in (bottles or a pressure Barrel).

I like the Festival and the Youngs beer kits. You get all the ingredients you need to brew a decent beer. Currently got a Festival Razoeback IPA on the go.

Welcome Dan, re. kits I've had a good experience with a Youngs APA kit (very tasty but also very cloudy!) and a St Peters Ruby kit (though I messed about with mine and added a bitter/toffee twang to it but I've sampled the kit in the home brew store and so know how it's supposed to taste and it's lovely stuff

Thanks for all the replys am trying to find a local brew shop,if not I've seen some starter equipment on Amazon. To get me going hopefully it good enough.

if you do get a starter kit make sure you cant get everything cheaper separately elsewhere, it doesn't take long to check with a homebrew site (for example)https://www.biggerjugs.co.uk/ to see if youre getting a better deal this way.
Standard starter kits don't come with an 'auto syphons' which I would strongly recommend over the basic 'suck' ones. The above site do a 23 litre one for just a tenner, and believe me this great invention will make ur life soooooo much easier when bottling.
A bottle tree is also an invaluable piece of equipment which will again make bottling that extra mile less challenging (more to the point, less likely ul pick up an infection)

Sadly the bottling tree isn't available from this place but https://www.balliihoo.co.uk/#advanced_search_result.php?keywords=tree Do one for 22 quid (inc delivery)

Hope these extra tips help:mrgreen:
