To fizz or not to fizz

Evening all,
Been brewing wine kits for a couple of years now and decided to have a go at a batch of stout.I got a betterbrew kit,(the ones in a foil pouch)and its almost ready for bottling.thing is i cant decide whether or not to carbonate it.The instructions say to carbonate,but will it lose any quality if i dont?

You'll not get a mouthy cream feel and it won't be as pleasant on the tongue, IMHO

Agreed. If your bottling then a 1/4 tsp of DME is what I use for stout.

I had a stout for what ever reason failed to carbonate. It tasted great but it wasn't the same. Carbonation actually adds another dimension to the flavour profile as well as the physical 'feel' of the beer.
