Hi guys,

Question about cornies can you use em as a bottling bucket or like a bottle, ie take from FV to cornie instead of bottle.......G

I cornie my beer after roughly ten days then leave for 4 weeks to settle further. I then drink from that or if going places transfer to another cornie to take bright beer. I do bottle from my cornie, either to take samples or to release the cornie for another brew.

you could add primer to your cornie to use as a bottling bucket but I find for ales there is no need as they have lower carbonation levels so just bottle from the fermenter.

if transferring beer to cornies always squirt a little CO2 in there so the splashes don't oxidise. Also connect in going beer through the beer out post as it goes to the bottom.
