As I mentioned in my introduction post, I could see this brewing lark being a slippery slope.

So far I have bought this week:

Fridge from ebay for £10 :D
Tube heater from ebay £13 (I already have a TC10 controller)

2 bargain kettles from Tesco £12

A job lot from my local paper consisting of:

8 glass demi-johns
1 x 15 litre FV
1 x 25 litre FV
8 airlocks
loads of bungs, corks, etc
lots of old winemaking books
2 x boots wine filters and spare pads
boots heater (like the fish tank ones) looks like it's never been out of the box
bottle brushes, tubing and corker

Will need a good clean and sterilising but ok for the grand total of £15!

Not a bad few days in all.

Fifty quid well spend I think

Still need a ball valve for the boiler and to put the parts together for the fermenting fridge.

Funny you should say that.

No way I would get away with boiling wort in the kitchen so I am sorting space in the garage. I have a cunning plan for a tap as soon as I can get a sink and worktop from freecycle ;) The guttering actually feeds into the main drainage system so I can easily "T" into that for the drain.

I know. The first brew has only been in the FV for 6 days and I'm already converting the garage into a brewery

I haven't even tasted the stuff yet.
