Has anyone who uses a stainless steel thermo pot as a mash tun had a problem with the silicone seal. Mine keeps falling out and I am looking for advice on what glue to use to keep it in place.
This thing is an absolute disaster, the lid inner has distorted and the only way to get a decent seal is to use four buckle straps from Wilko. I thought that I had been unlucky with my purchase so I bought another one. when it arrived the lid was even worse than mine so I sent it back. The lid on the new one was so baggy that it could be lifted up about 3mm with the clips in place.
Help anyone.

I've only used mine twice and the seal has come away in places. I thought it was down to the cold weather recently. I think there is some food safe glue out there which should be OK.

Mines the 38l too, it doesn't fall off its just the outer edge sort of rolls down but if I push it back up its fine. Its as though the silicone has shrunk slightly and is pulling at the shape. It been around 0'c in the brewshed for a while so I just put it down to that.
