Hi all, below are a couple photos of my rig as it stands;

Kit:

£44 - New 27L Cygnet Boiler ( with energy regulator installed instead of stat +£12)

£65 - 32.5L Thermo pot

£22 - 24V Food safe(to 100C) pump with PWM speed controller and power pack.

£15 - 3 Meters food safe silicon tubing.

Free- Double wound immersion cooler.(Brother is a plumber)

Free- Raised access floor tiles and legs to make the table.

£50~ Other bits and pieces ball valves,nipples bushes in 1/2in bsp.

I also managed to get some freebie ball valves from the plumbers at work in exchange for a few bottles of the good stuff.

I use the cygnet as a Boiler/HLT and have an intermediate vessel to put the pre-boil wort into before pumping it back to the kettle.

What do you think?

Looking good - have you tried it out yet?
I'm jealous of the double wound chiller, does your brother take orders?:lol:

:cheers:

Yes it's seen me through three brew days so far.It's a bit of a mess at the moment because I don't have a permanent place for it.

Ah the chiller is excellent! He did mention making them to order so I shall ask him. Chilled from 100°c to 20°c in 12-13 minutes on the last two brew days. It certainly achieves a good cold break.

The kit/ingredients do tend to accumulate - there's always something else that would be nice to have, and not enough space in the shed/freezer.
Let us know what your brother says.
