Hi all,
I'am Neil and before August I'd Never so much as brewed a drop of ale, but had acquired an appreciation (and a taste) for real ale over the preceding few years.
One Friday night, after having maybe one too many, I decided it would be a really good idea to set up my own micro-brewery and Ridings Brewery was born.
Ok, so i've got the name, registered my company, even bought a starter kit from a nice bloke called Chris at Morley Home Brew Centre, and eventually managed to brew my first 40 pints of Woodfords Wherry, which went down a treat, and in record time I think.
My project is in its infancy and Now I just need to gain as much experience and knowledge as I can by experimenting and brewing as much as possible. Batch number two will be another kit, to tide me over. Batch number 3 I will bottle, then funds permitting, in the new year i intend to get to grips with the real business of brewing from grains etc.
I've taken my first step on what promises to be an interesting journey, so I hope your knowledge and experience will help me on my quest to brew the perfect pint!
Best wishes
Neil
