F1 Drive to survive on Netflix. Season 3 has just been released. I enjoy the different behind the scenes focus of each episode. It's not just a plod through the race calendar. I am not a great fan of F1 but like this.

Hi.
For some reason Amazon have just offered me Prime FREE for six months, which I gratefully accepted.
Any recommendations please for Amazon Movies or tv shows?
The Boys
Preacher
Justified
The Jack Ryan series is also decent

Finished The Terror. I enjoyed it, though found it slightly muddled at times. I also thought the sound work left a bit to be desired - unless my hearing's going.

Agree with the post above - Jared Harris (son of Richard) is excellent.
Its crazy that it's based on a true story.
The fate of the Franklin expedition is quite bleak (in reality, not the tv series)

I watched a docu-series called McMillions last year, about McDonald's in the US having their Monopoly game compromised by fraudsters. Quite an entertaining watch and surprisingly simple how they did it.

The only thing I'd say is that it is 6 episodes long, from memory, and it could have been done in half of that, but I still enjoyed it.

Jack Ryan series one is good,(series two not so) Good Omens is brilliant and bonkers but you may have seen that on BBC. The man in the high castle is better than the book it’s loosely based on, and Upload is a good laugh.
Well that’s a fairly diverse but quality stuff that will keep you going a few weeks maybe.

Every time I go to watch something on Prime, it wants me to pay to watch. I know a lot of stuff is included in the subscription, but there’s so much that isn’t. It winds me up to the point that when I’m looking for something to watch, I go straight to Netflix every time.

Yes it's rather annoying, the worst thing for me was when I watched every episode of Hell on Wheels until the last 4 when they made it unavailable, to say I was annoyed was an understatement.

What get me about Amazon Prime of which I'm a subscriber is that they charge for really old films. My grandson is mad on Greek mythology and we had to pay £2.50 to watch Clash of the Titans 1981 version. I know that's not much but it's the principle.

You can click on "Free To Me", which only shows stuff you don't pay extra for.

Recently started watching Emily in Paris ... and it is so good, the style, those outfits and...well some rather dishy interest too. I wish I was young again watching this. @LisaMC I think this might be more your thing too.

Finished watching The Terror last night on BBC iplayer. It's a fictionalised account of a mystery surrounding a true life 1840 something exploration mission to find passage through the artic. Great cast and lots of great performances. Fantastic psychological thriller. Very unique. Would highly recommend it.

Not on Netflix but "My Brilliant Friend" is amazing. It's an HBO thing. Not sure how that works as we got it on DVD.
I thought My Brilliant Friend was superb. Next season in 2022.

Loads of good stuff from HBO but it's usually only on sky or now TV, and I prefer netflix.

One of the highlights of 2020 from HBO was Lovecraft Country...a must see

Finished The Innocent Man on Netflix last night. A six-part documentary centered around two murders in the town of Ada, Oklahoma. As the title suggests, innocent men are sent to jail - one is five days away from the death penalty at one point.

The case was picked up, amongst others, by the author John Grisham, who wrote a book about the cases. He appears in the documentary.

I'm a bit of a sucker for these small-town-America type documentaries, and this is one of the best I've seen. The behaviour of the law enforcement authorities is pretty frightening, the two murders are tragic, and the mental torture of the innocent men incarcerated can only be imagined, but it's extremely well made and thought-provoking. Highly recommended.

Got bought the Intouchables twice great film. I love French film.
@Cheshire Cat
Check out "Lettre à France" on TV5 Monde website under the rubrique "series et fictions". It's a téléfilm with Catherine Jacob and Julie Ferrier available until 8th April. It's the most entertaining film I've watched in a long time. Thoroughly recommend it. Wish I had some means of recording it as téléfilms rarely if ever appear on DVD.

https://revoir.tv5monde.com/toutes-les-videos/series-fictions/lettre-a-franceThat should do it.
