The older I get, and the more facts I see and learn about conservatives and right-wing people, I am confirmed that I don't want to belong to that bunch, and that they are bigger hypocrites than the rest of us (the Hungarian aide of Orban caught on a sex party in Brussels, is what I consider only the tip of the iceberg in right/conservative circles. That there were more members and relationships with the EVP (christian-democrats) only underlines this).

There is an inherent problem of tests like this is the interpretation the questions and the reasons for it. For instance, there is a question about if schools should make classroom attendance compulsory. What does that even mean? For instance, if you were ultra libertarian, you may say no, because the state should not be able to force your kids to do something against your will. However, if you interpreted it differently, the same ultra libertarian might say yes, because schools that you send you kids to freely should be able to set their own rules as private organisations.

Just one example, but I've done the test twice in a row with different interpretations of some questions and got very different results. But I answered them honestly from a particular political perspective.

I answered this a year and a half ago and I'm sure my views haven't changed. I was and still am quite surprised how far to the bottom left I was. I would have described myself as slightly left of centre. I can only assume when we all sit in an election booth we make a sudden shift to the right

Dont know but to me a few of the questions seem sort of loaded in a way that tilt the answers to the left/libertarian. One example "I’d always support my country, whether it was right or wrong." I don't think many people would agree with this as a rule and presumably disagreeing would weigh towards the left libertarian, so more people will land in that side of the compass.

I agree with a couple of the posts above. The questions are loaded to corral those answering towards the left. I didn't get past the second page before seeing the way the questions were loaded.

Not sure how you arrive at that conclusion. The questions are just statements to which you say you agree or disagree. I think I had a fair mixture of both in my answers.
Also pretty sure that using this quiz Boris Johnson would come out in the Left Libertarian group as well. But that's just the UK which is a Socialist country.

It was mentioned in the previous thread we need balance and this is true of a mixed economy.
Politically our mainstream parties are centre, right of centre with some stretching further right within the UK government.
What is clear in the UK is that a right leaning media controls the narrative . Many folk with social leanings voting against blue over red is their biggest achievement.
Looking at comments through these threads folk are surprised at how more to the left this 'test' reported. Is that because their news outlet tells them how more to the right they should be

Oh how I wish the UK was a socialist country but it is not because of the people who control it. Whilst we have a monarchy, a House of Lords and 5% of people owning 95% of the wealth we never will. The media is mainly right wing with a few exceptions so propaganda is controlled by the right wing.

So by this definition, no country on earth has ever been socialist. And never will.
