The NHS is not in crisis - just look at the figures!

I agree with you Dexter, but in the case of Dutto's grandson I think the blame is on them. Or at least on that doctor.

That said, I'd be interested to know how long that doctor had been working when he made the slip up. Doctor's working hours have been a hot topic recently, and doctors keep making the point that long shifts are dangerous because tired people make mistakes. They are human, after all.

Sorry about your grandson, Dutto, though glad to hear the consequences weren't worse.

Completely get this Dutto and hope the lad is ok.

........

I could die at any point and unless the NHS directly caused it, I wouldn't want blame to be on them.

Robbie managed to get into University but the pressure of work brought on epileptic fits! ("It never rains but it pours!' Eh?) But he did managed to get married and follow the family tradition of divorce; luckily after he had produced our great-granddaughter!

Dying is a fact of life so I agree wholeheartedly that I wouldn't want to blame anyone who was not directly responsible for my death. However, I did point out to a Dentist one time that "If someone had tried to give me that much pain in a pub I would have killed him!":thumb:This was after he had drilled into my jawbone without anaesthetic and left a situation that needed hospitalisation and a general anaesthetic to correct. His response? He refused to treat me thereafter!:wave:Unfortunately, the medical profession can fail in their intentions just like the rest of us! :gulp:
