UP I need to know what your policy is on raising the speed limit, Banning Cars, Buses, Tractors & Lorrys Closing motorways and making all roads very very twisty. :hmm:

I would ban cars below 3ltrs and without 8 cylinders, there would be no speed limit, I would disband the health and safety dept. "Buses would run in the we small hours and be full of people who smelled of wee!" Lorries would pay no tax as long as they travelled under the veil of darkness! Tractors would be confined to farmers fields there is no place for them on the road.

As for twisty roads, I would be running for political office not a geographic planner! :D

UP

Is your name CLARKSON

Perchance, do you have a Bike (with an engine, of course)

If I were to become a BURPER, would you be prepared to reinstate the idea of personal responsibility?

All this Health and Safety rubbish has gone far too far. Don't get me wrong, I approve of Health & Safety in the workplace - no one wants to die at work because their boss is an arse - I am thinking of non-work related issues where I should be expected to excercise my "Common sense" (yes, I know it's an outdated and some would even say abstract notion) and take "Personal responsibility" for my actions.

If I want to give up my free time willingly to help reconstruct a 2 foot high drystone wall in our local nature reserve, I should not be prevented from doing so just because I cannot provide a pair of steel toecap boots, a hard hat and fluorescent jacket. This sort of absurd *** covering bureaucracy dressed up as Health & Safety regulations by cretins worried about insurance claims makes my blood boil. If I am careless enough to drop a stone on my foot or slip over and head-butt the wall then I will have gotten what I deserve.

I am quite prepared to sign a 3 page disclaimer to that effect but apparently that is not allowable. Why the hell not! - have we all turned into incompetent imbeciles in the past 10 years who can't be let lose with anything sharper than a paper knife in case we nick our pinkies
