I used to build my own gaming rigs but got sick of spending money regularly upgrading i still miss the accuracy of keyboard and mouse.

+1

I'm no good on the xbox360 apart from the forza series. I still build high performance shoebox sized gaming systems but can only have single slot gfx cards. Still on a 1680x1050 monitor the performance is fine. Playing rise of the triad and half-life epsiode something or other atm. - nothing beats mouse and keyboard for control

I'll download this weekend - walked into Granger Games (Stockport) this morning, they already have a copy of 'The Order' on their pre-owned shelf
That was fast!!!
Cheers

I imagine there will be a lot on ebay soon.

It was always going to happen once people found out you get 2.5 hours of game-play, what a rip off.

Battlefield Hardline release date announced.

By Wesley Yin-Poole Published 28/10/2014

Battlefield Hardline launches on 17th March 2015 in North America, 19th March 2015 in Europe and 20th March 2015 in the UK, EA has announced.

Developer Visceral's cops and robbers-inspired Battlefield spin-off had once been due out this month, but was delayed to early 2015 following feedback from the summer beta.

The announcement came as part of EA's fiscal 2015 Q2 financial results, which saw record revenue of $1.22 billion. The same quarter last year saw revenue of $1.04 billion.

EA said it was the number one publisher on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles in the Western world, off the back of FIFA 15, NHL 15, Madden NFL 15, EA Sports UFC, Titanfall, Battlefield 4 and even FIFA 14.

The company failed to reveal sales figures for its titles, but did say net revenue for FIFA, Madden NFL and Hockey Ultimate Team services, which includes the hugely popular FIFA Ultimate Team, was up an impressive 96 per cent year on year, so the money men will no doubt be delighted.

During the quarter players of EA games logged more than 1.9 billion hours of gameplay across console and PC. Its mobile games, which include Madden NFL Mobile and FIFA 15 Ultimate Team Mobile, averaged more than 40m monthly active users, up 250 per cent year on year.

"Electronic Arts continues to put our players first, delivering new experiences, innovation and new ways to play," said Chief Executive Officer Andrew Wilson. "It was an excellent second quarter, with strong new titles, deep player engagement in our live services and ongoing digital growth driving continued momentum."

More PS4 2.50 Firmware Update Details Leak.

New accessibility and storage features rumored to be included with the PlayStation 4's next major firmware update.

New details for the PlayStation 4's next firmware patch have leaked ahead of time. Less than a week after it was revealed that the long-awaited Suspend/Resume option would be included with the update, new images posted online say the 2.50 firmware update will introduce more accessibility options, a new data backup feature, and more.

The news comes by way of Twitter user isaparrot, who says they are friends with someone in the firmware beta testing group.

According to this person, the new accessibility features include a text-to-speech option, as well as larger text, bold text, zoom, high contrast, and more. Check out the embedded image to see all of the new accessibility features.

PS4 2.50 will also introduce new data backup functionality (see the image above), according to the insider, who also revealed more about how the Suspend/Resume feature will work.

"Suspend/Resume while watching Netflix. The PS4 will pick up where your watching and not just reboot the entire app. It's really in memory," isaparrot wrote.

Addressing the leaked information, a Sony representative told GameSpot that an official announcement regarding the PS4's next firmware update is coming very soon.

"The next PS4 system software update will be released soon, and its features are currently being processed for quality assurance," the representative explained. "We will have more information on the update to share shortly."

Battlefield Hardline my mini review.

I used to be a run and gun type of player so i was expecting the stealth part of this game to get on my nerves, having played a couple of hours of the single player i can honestly say for me it makes a the game better, rewards for silent take-downs to earn unlocks (as explained below) makes me want to play silently rather than run and gun, if you are the guns blazing type of player don't let this put you off as it says below - "single-player campaign can be approached in a direct way with guns blazing, the preferred tactic is stealth" .

While the single-player campaign can be approached in a direct way with guns blazing, the preferred tactic is stealth. Taking down criminals non-lethally earns bonus points toward Expert Level. Increasing this rank unlocks better weapons and gadgets, so it is well worth the effort. There are various techniques that aid in this endeavor. A flash of the badge freezes up to three perps, giving you an opportunity to handcuff them with little confrontation. Tossing a shell casing from an endless supply attracts the attention of a nearby enemy, allowing you to take him down out of sight. The minimap displays vision cones for nearby bad guys, letting you stay just out of view. Crouch and these cones become smaller.

I will probably finish single player before moving on to multi-player so if anyone has anything to add feel free.

The last gaming consul I owned, we played Pong on. Then I got an Amiga 500 and zombied out in 48-72 hours gaming sessions with Elite I and II. Then packed it in and stepped away from any gamey things, that was an addiction that really sucked me in. Beer, cake and cycling I know when to stop, but games...

Witcher 3 - If you enjoyed Dragons age inquisition get this.

Dragons Age inquisition was the first RPG i finished and i enjoyed it a lot, RPG's have never really interested me but DAI got me hooked, i am glad i played DAI before this as i think i would have struggled with some of the menus, its a lot more in depth than DAI but so far i am managing to play it and what's more enjoy it, i have finished the tutorial part (if you are new to these games DO NOT skip it) and have just killed my first Griffin, the controls are a bit clunky and a little confusing at first as they have switched the jump button to the O and the camera doesn't always keep up with what is going on, these are minor complaints that certainly wont stop me enjoying the game.

I put 80+ hours into DAI, i imagine this is also going to take many hours to finish, happy days.

I've bought it, but I've never really played an RPG either. I got about five minutes in and got put off at the first chance of buying items (there were so many), so put The Last of Us back on ...

I've been playing a ton of Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Zombie mode.

If anyone else is playing on the PS3 shoot me a pm and I'll send you my username.

I don't post it as I've had people use it as an avenue of personal attack.

I've recently been playing Assassins Creed Black Flag on Xbox One on account of it been free with Xbox gold. Also got Dead Rising 3 on the go and love Titanfall for a quick blast every now and again. If anyone else plays my gamertag is the same as my username here.

Not really my thing but my Son has been looking forward to this release since it was delayed months ago.

If you are going to download it be warned its a big download, it comes in 3 parts and takes a few hours even on a fast connection.

Any poker players?

I'm a semi decent online player, all low stakes but it's a profitable hobby. This years graph which doesn't include rakeback, bonuses and a £1.6k Jackpot I hit, I'm closer to £3k net withdrawals this year:
