Been reading up about the colour of bottles Brown = good, green and clear = not so good. So why do they make them the not so good colours comercially and for home brewing. Am i missing something, i am getting aprehensive on where to bottle up now, have you any advice, and is there a anti uv screen / filter that i could use. :hmm:

All the best shaunyp :drink:

Because tastes have changed and many don't seem to mind off-flavours in their mass produced beers if it has a decent advertising campaign to make you think it's meant to taste like that.

If you put the bottle close to the tap or use a bottling stick then the beer should see very little light.

can you not store in it the garage or somewhere darker if you use the green?

Mine are in the garage in crates kindly donated by my local connie club and the majority of my bottles are green, no problems so far :D

I use a wide variety of bottles,a lot of them are clear.

As long as you don't keep em on the window cill they will be fine. :thumb:
